Allison Wold planning – approved!

Wind turbine location at allisonwold

Our Allison Wold wind turbine project has just been passed by the local planning authority in the Ryedale region.

Our first application for a 500kW wind turbine was initially withdrawn, because of issues with MOD radars and also due to a handful of neighbours objecting.

However, after liaising with MOD safeguarding and preforming mitigation measures we provided proof the turbines would not adversely affect the Radar at RAF Staxton Wold at which point MOD safeguarding agreed they would not object to any further planning application.

We then submitted our second application to Ryedale Council on the 11th December 2012 for two 225kW Vestas V27 Wind Turbines.

This was deemed acceptable by the local planning officer who submitted our application to the planning committee with a recommendation for approval, we also didn’t have any objections from consultees, local parish councils or RAF Staxton Wold and was approved by the LPA earlier this evening.

Thank you to everyone who supported us during the process, and we look forward to sharing more information about this exciting development soon.
