Email from Ofgem accrediting second hand wind turbine for FITS paymentsThis of course answers the long-standing debate amongst farmers and land-owners and renewable energy consultants and experts… “Are used wind turbines eligible for FITs?”

There’s a lot of speculation doing the rounds on various farming forums as to whether you can get accredited and receive Feed-in-Tariff (FIT) payments on used wind turbines – they’re both right and wrong!

Why?

Because you can only get FITs payments on certain kinds of second hand wind turbines, and as the email on the left below shows—that includes Boythorpe Wind Energy remanufactured wind turbines.

If you’re thinking of buying a used/second hand wind turbine make absolutely certain it’s eligible for the Feed-in-Tariff, or check out our range of second hand wind turbines.
